Step Forward

This is a 6-week course using CBT techniques to increase levels of physical activity in order to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. The group will guide you through goal setting and other techniques to increase your motivation to change behaviours that may be maintaining your low mood or anxiety. You will learn about healthy lifestyles, unhelpful thinking styles and how positive thinking can influence us.

Sessions include: Psycho education on the impact of physical activity and a healthy lifestyle on our mood and anxiety levels, how to increase motivation to engage with physical activity, getting started with this and tackling unhelpful thinking styles.

The Step Forward online course is available for people aged 16 and over who are registered with a GP in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, or the Queen’s Park and Paddington areas of Westminster.
